Cold Buttermilk Soup With Curry And Chilli

On hot summer days, you need something cool and refreshing. This buttermilk soup does the trick.

Servings 4 persons, Preparation time 0 minutes, Cooking time: 23 minutes


  • 1 red chilli
  • 500 g sweetcorn (can)
  • 150 g chopped onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp curry powder or ground turmeric
  • 550 ml vegetable stock
  • pepper, salt
  • 500 ml buttermilk


  • Deseed the chilli. Drain the sweetcorn.
  • Place all of the ingredients, except the buttermilk, into the soup maker. Close the lid and select the smooth soup program.
  • When the soup is ready, open the lid and pour the soup into a container. Add the buttermilk and chill for at least 3 hours (or overnight) in the fridge before serving.
