Ingredients

  • 1 Kilo of minced meat
  • 1 Tablespoon of Arabic spice mix
  • 1 Teaspoon of paprika
  • Salt and pepper (according to taste)
  • 3 Tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 6 Onions sliced thinly
  • 6 Cloves of garlic sliced thinly
  • 4 Medium tomatoes peeled and chopped
  • 1 Cup of tomato paste
  • 1 Tablespoon of pomegranate molasses (Dibbes Al-Rumman)
  • 2 Cups of water
  • 1 Tablespoon of flour mixed with 1/4 cup of cold water
  • 6 Medium potatoes cut into cubes
  • Salt, pepper and all spice (according to taste)

Directions

  • Mix the meat with salt and pepper, all spices and paprika.
  • Brush potatoes with vegetable oil and place in air fryer at 180c for 20 minutes and set aside.
  • Form the meat mixture into medium sized balls. Brush with vegetable oil and place in air fryer at 180 c for 15 minutes. Set aside.
  • In vegetable oil, cook the onions until tender then add the garlic, tomatoes and season the sauce with more salt, pepper, all spice and paprika.
  • Add the tomato paste, molasses and water and let cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the flour-water mixture and mix well.
  • Add the meat balls and potatoes to sauce and let boil for 20 minutes.
  • Serve hot with rice.
