Chicken Shawarma

Ingredients

  • 8 Chicken breasts cut into thin slices
  • 2 Tablespoons of ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons of yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 Tablespoons of crushed garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon of dried oregano
  • 1 Tablespoon of Shawarma seasoning
  • 1 cup of grated halloumi cheese
  • 1 Teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1 Teaspoon of ground cardamom
  • 1/2 cup of light mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup of yogurt
  • 3 cloves of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  • Mix all ingredients of side dish and keep refrigerated.
  • Mix together the ketchup, garlic, oregano, shawarma seasoning, paprika, cardamom, cinnamon, vegetable oil, yogurt, vinegar and marinate chicken slices overnight refrigerated.
  • Place in air fryer at 180c for 15 minutes stirring occasionally.
  • Serve shawarma with bread, the side dish and cucumber pickles.
