Chocolate chip cookies
With this easy recipe, you can make a batch of freshly baked cookies any day of the week. These classic American treats take only 15 minutes of prep time and make a great dessert or sweet snack. Deliciously soft, chewy and dotted with gooey chocolate chips, they might easily become a family favorite.
Ingredients
- 410 g all-purpose flour
- 10 g baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 190 g cold butter
- 200 g brown sugar
- 200 g dark chocolate chips (use high-quality dark chocolate drops with about 70% cocoa for best results.)
Directions
1 - Step1: Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, whisk the eggs. Cut the butter into small cubes.
2 - Step 2: Add the butter cubes and brown sugar to the Kitchen machine bowl, attach the beater and start the device on speed 2 for 2 minutes. Add the chocolate chips and continue mixing on speed 1 for 20 seconds. Then add the previously prepared flour mixture and continue beating on speed 1 for 1 minute. Once done, scrape the sides of the bowl using silicone spatula.
3 - Step 3: Slowly pour in the previously whisked eggs and start the device on speed 2 for 30 seconds.
4 - Step 4: Once mixing is done, shape the cookie dough into around 12 balls, each weighing about 90 grams. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet and transfer to the freezer for at least 2 hours. Tip: slightly wet your hands when shaping the cookie balls to prevent the dough from sticking.
5 - Step 5: Bake the chocolate chip cookies in the preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes, using the top and bottom heating elements, without fan. Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool before serving.
- Chef’s tip: Store raw cookie dough balls in the freezer for up to one month and bake in batches as desired.
