My Philips 5000 Series Cordless Vacuum Cleaner shows an error code

If you see an E2 error code (or 23) on your appliance, it means that the appliance is being used above or below its functioning temperature. Please use and store the appliance in a room with a temperature between 0°C and 40°C. Additionally, charge the appliance or battery in a room with a temperature between 5°C and 40 °C.

If you encounter an E5 error (or 53) while trying

If you encounter an E5 error (or 53) while trying to switch on your appliance, it means that the battery is not charged.

 

To resolve this, connect the appliance to the charger again. If it still does not charge, please take the appliance to a Philips service center or contact us for further assistance.

E5 error 5000 cordless

An E9 error (or 63) indicates a malfunction in the nozzle. Please take the appliance to a Philips service center or contact us for further assistance.

E9 5000 cordless

If the i4 error (or hI) appears, it means that the brush is stuck, or some objects are clogging the airflow channel. Firstly, ensure that the appliance is switched off. Next, you need to clean the nozzle by following the steps provided in the images below or your user manual (images 1-8). After cleaning the nozzle, please remove the tube from the main appliance, and clear any objects from the nozzle or tube. Finally, restart the appliance.

I4 5000 Series cordless

An i5 error (or 2I) means that the motor is jammed or damaged. Remove the battery, wait 10 seconds, and then put the battery back. If this does not work, please take the appliance to a Philips service center or contact us for further assistance.

 

If you see an i5 error on your appliance, it indicates that the motor is stuck or damaged. To resolve this, you should first remove the battery, wait for 10 seconds, and then insert the battery again. If the error persists, kindly take the appliance to the nearest Philips service center or contact us for further assistance.

The i6 error (or 9I) with the battery icon below it, means that the charging adapter is still attached to the appliance. Please remove the adapter before using the appliance.

The i7 error (or LI) with the battery icon below means that the wrong charging adapter is used. Please make sure that you use the adapter supplied.

The zero (0 or O) icon on the display indicates that the battery needs to be charged. Use the recommended charging methods to charge the appliance or the battery.
