How do I clean my Philips Air Cooker?

• Press and hold the rotary button to switch off the appliance

• Remove the plug from the wall outlet

• Let the appliance cool down for approximately 30 minutes

• Remove all accessories to let the Air Cooker cool down more quickly.

• Clean the bottom tray, the basket, the cooking pot and the second layer accessory in a dishwasher. You can also clean them with hot water, dishwashing liquid and a non-abrasive sponge

• Clean the cooking chamber with hot water, if needed use dishwashing liquid and a non-abrasive sponge.

You can use citric acid (mix it with water according to instructions) to remove small calcification spots inside the cooking chamber. Just put it in the pan, let it work for a couple of time and then swipe it off.

Please note: to maintain the non-stick capability of the coating, we recommend oiling the coating of the cooking chamber and the accessories after each cleaning, especially after cleaning or descaling with detergents, e.g. citric acid. To do so, pour a few drops of neutral and heat-resistant vegetable oil (e.g. refined sunflower oil, refined rapeseed oil) in the cooking chamber or on the accessories and evenly spread it over the whole coating using a kitchen paper towel or other dry cloth. 

If food residues stick to the cooking chamber after cooking, you can use the automated cleaning program „Easy clean“ to soften the residues and cleaned the appliance easily.

The program takes 20 minutes. If the program has finished, you only need to wipe out the cooking chamber with a wet cloth.

If you have not cooked with your Philips Air Cooker for a while you can use the rinsing program.

Your Air Cooker will remind you with a notification on the display when it is time to descale the appliance.
For descaling please use about 80 ml of the Philips CA6700 descaling liquid.

1. Apply oven spray as seen in the video.

2. Wait for some minutes so that the oven spray can dissolve dirt.

3. Rinse the oven spray behind the valve with water by using a regular spray bottle.

4. After rinsing, clean the cooking chamber of residual water with a cloth.

5. Start the EasyClean setting and let it run for 20min.

6. Wait for some minutes to let the residual water cool down before cleaning the cooking chamber.

7. Let the device fully cool down with the lid open to get rid of potential smell from the oven spray.

Make sure that the inside of the appliance is fully dry before storing your Air Cooker.
