My Philips Air Purifier powers off unexpectedly

Published on 20 September 2024
If your Philips Air Purifier turns off suddenly, there might be a simple solution. Discover here how to solve it yourself.
When the power resumes (e.g, after a power cut), your Philips Air Purifier restarts automatically and goes to the previous mode.
If your Philips Air Purifier comes with the options to pre-set it to shut down, such as timer on appliances or scheduler on App, then this might have been set and caused it to turn off. Please check the settings on appliance timer or scheduler in App.
Information below does not apply for models AMF870 and AMF765.

If your Philips Air purifier has been showing a filter replacement alert for more than two weeks and the filter was not replaced, it will be locked, and the fan will not work.

If this is the case, please replace the filter and rest the filter lifetime.
Some air purifier models are designed to switch off when the backdoor/filter cover is open.
If the backdoor/filter cover is open, please try closing it and make sure it is properly closed. Your purifier should resume working now.
