AzurSteam iron

my old iron went wrong, I bought a new iron yesterday (from a different manufacturer) it was useless, like pushing a warm toffee across my shirts. I returned that iron to the store today and purchased the Philips Azure, a complete dream to use, there is no effort in manoeuvring the iron, it leaves my shirts crisply finished with no creases, even works well around the buttons. I would highly recommended this product

I have only used the iron once so far. It's the most expensive iron I've ever bought but I am very pleased with it on first impressions.

This Iron has finger tip controls. Able to produce extra team at a touch button and is ideal for heavy wrinkled items. It glides over clothes easily as well as being easy to fill with water. I am confidently happly to recommend this iron to any one.

nice stylish iron good features ionic steam makes ironing easier controls easy to see and use

I bought this Iron as a replacement for my Philips Azure Ionic GC4641 which lasted me 5 years without problem but was showing it's age and needed to be replaced. The GC4870 is another good Iron from Philips, it heats up quickly, produces the right amount of steam and generally helps speed up the chore of Ironing. One distinct improvement is the position and function of the Ionic Steam control. on this model the button is on the tope of the handle and has an on / off function which is far better than the trigger mechanism used on the previous model which had to be held in to produce Ionic Steam. Two VERY small items that could do with improvement: 1. The side openning filling seems to be designed for left handed people making it akward to fill if you are right handed. 2. The temperature dial is moulded in black plastic and this makes it difficult to see what temperature has been set if your vision is not perfect. From what I have seen, so far, I am very happy to recommend this Iron.

This review is based a few years after I purchased it. Basically I thought it struggled with normal household ironing for the two of us. Have bought another make iron in May 2019 but that only lasted until August 2021 so now bought another model Azur
