PerfectCare XpressPressurised steam iron

I love this iron - no temperature adjusting, just iron and go. It is brilliant that you don't have to be so careful with silk or satin embellishments on products, just iron everything and you know it will not burn or stick.

We both found it so easy to use with a brilliant performance & excellent safety features

Used this iron for the first time today and it was very good. I ironed silk blouses, linen skirts and cotton shirts effortlessly. My navy trousers without the shine, great. Not tried vertical steaming yet.

I must complain about this iron. I have now used two irons: one I purchased and the second one was a replacement from the service center. Both have been nothing but trouble. The biggest problem is that steam function doesn't work on its own as it is heavily advertised. I bought the iron thinking it would be a technology wonder but as it turns out, its a technology dud. I've moved the iron every which way for the sensor to pick up the instruction for steam; it just doesn't work. I had the same problem with the first iron. I've owned other Philips irons and with manual controls when you set the steam, you knew you would get steam. With this PerfectCare Xpress, you don't know when steam is coming or not because the dumb sensor doesn't know when to turn this on or off. This is one of the worst irons I have owned. Period.

Brought this today used it on one t-shirt one skirt two blouses, the only thing that ironed well was the skirt. It emptied the water on the last blouse will be taking it back tomorrow
