Picture of Your Heart Gives Hope to Children with Heart Defects
Philips has cooperated with the Children's Heart Foundation (CKV), one of the most effective non-governmental organizations of Turkey in children’s heart health field, for the new awareness project, “Picture of Your Heart”.

During Heart Health Week on April 12,2018, Haluk Karabatak, Philips Turkey, CEO and Prof. Dr. Tayyar Sarıoğlu, the Chairman of the Children's Heart Foundation, participated in the Picture of you Heart project where videos and real life stories were shared to shed light on the occurrence of heart diseases. Philips Turkey and Heart Projects
During our ‘Little Hearts’ Project that we started in 2015, we have performed heart scanning of children in the Southeastern Anatolia Region in cooperation with the Ministry of Development, GAP (Southeastern Anatolia Project) Administration and Turkish Heart Foundation. Moreover, with the ‘Voice of Your Heart’ project that we have put into practice with Philips employees at the end of 2016; we have drawn attention to individualized heart health. On the other hand, with the ‘Picture of Your Heart’ Project, we are creating awareness for children cardiology. We have established the ‘Picture of Your Heart’ Project in cooperation with the Children's Heart Foundation to draw attention on congenital heart diseases, raise awareness for families on this subject and emphasize importance of early diagnosis and proper treatment. Our project is inspired from the story of Çınar, a ‘Children's Heart Foundation’ Volunteer. He is a child who was born with congenital heart disease. At a very young age, he had gone through so many surgeries. Despite this, Çınar loves his heart and sees it as a zoo with animals playing around in it.

The other hero of our Project is 25-year-old Ibrahim, who was diagnosed with heart disease when he was only 30 days old. Ibrahim has held onto life strongly with the surgeries he had in early ages and the treatments administered to him at such a young age.
We have no doubt that the stories of Çınar and Ibrahim shall give hope to many of our children with heart defects.
