Neurovascular treatment for AVMs and AVFs

Decide confidently whether to treat or not treat complex AVMs, AVFs and other malformations

Your ability to visualize the extremely complex pathologies of arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs) and other malformations is crucial in deciding whether to treat or to monitor a patient. For decades, neuro specialists have relied on Philips for sophisticated neuro imaging solutions to support confident planning and treatment decisions for interventions. Now, as the field shifts towards medical monitoring of unruptured malformations, the tools we offer--such as SmartCT for 3D imaging--continue to support you in making a difference in the lives of your patients.

Demonstrated results in neurovascular treatment for AVMs and AVFs

Innovatively designed to support even the most challenging procedures

Azurion 7 B20/15 Image Guided Therapy System Biplane

High-quality neuro-specific lateral detector can be positioned close to the patient’s head while providing full brain coverage. Secure, fast lateral gantry parking allows seamless switch between 2D and 3D image acquisition. Frontal arc 135° position enables optimal head-end access to the patient.

SmartCT Angio

SmartCT Angio

Provides a volumetric view to assist assessment of feeding arteries, draining veins, arterialized veins, nidus and ruptured or unruptured pathology to guide decision-making. 3D volumes are visualized with high spatial resolution and automatic patient movement compensation to enhance visibility.

SmartCT Vaso

SmartCT Vaso

Visualizing sub-millimeter vascular anatomy improves the chances of treatment success and raises treatment confidence. SmartCT Vaso offers high-resolution 3D imaging to reveal key information about cerebral vascular structures, supporting the highest possible spatial assessment of vessels.

SmartCT soft tissue helical

SmartCT Soft Tissue Helical*

Improved neuro CT-like cone beam CT images (CBCT) to identify ischemic changes in the angio suite. An advanced protocol with dual-axis acquisition trajectory and improved reconstruction software results in improved image appearance, compared to conventional CBCT acquisition techniques.

SmartCT dual viewer

SmartCT Dual Viewer*

Simultaneously visualize two 3D datasets of different sizes--acquired at different times during the procedure--and overlay them to create fusion images to support assessment and diagnosis without breaking sterility by using the touchscreen module or mouse and keyboard.

SmartCT Roadmap

SmartCT Roadmap

Provides a live 3D image overlay that can be segmented to emphasize the targeted vessel and lesions, supporting fast, confident catheter navigation through complex vessel structures. The SmartCT Roadmap overlays a 3D reconstruction of the vessel tree, vessel segments or annotations with live fluoro.

ClarityIQ technology

ClarityIQ

When you are monitoring AVMs over time, subtraction artifacts can disguise clinical information. ClarityIQ helps remove information that may be misleading, in real time without user interaction. During treatment, ClarityIQ enables visualization of direction and arrival of the liquid embolic agent.

SmartCT Soft Tissue

SmartCT Soft Tissue

This acquisition technique generates a CT-like visualization of soft tissue in relation to other structures during procedures. You can use the CT-like images to assess soft tissue after an AVM intervention to check the final result and potential bleeds while the patient is still on the table.
